Maybe hard to do on a first date, but I'd take you riding to some favorite spots in the mountains, visit casual, without the influence of others, as with a romantic dinner for 2, which cooking together here at home, a low pressure enviroment, would also do. If your nervous about it then out in public with your friends or family. How about the NFR in Vegas! lol
